Health Education Enhancement Fund

The Health Education Office has set up a Foundation account to assist with enhancing the services it offers. As an office that puts students first, our goal is to be able to provide students with the most comprehensive wellness services possible. This fund will allow us to go above and beyond to serve the student population at UConn. Currently the Health Education Office offers services to UConn students in various areas of wellness including sexuality and stress management. With the funds that we hope to generate, we plan to offer a voucher for non-latex condoms for students with latex allergies at our pharmacy on campus for a box of polyurethane condoms. Currently, the only condom that we offer to students with latex allergies is the female condom. We would like to also offer the male condom, but due to the expensive nature of the male version, we are unable to purchase them. Another initiative that we would like to implement is a massaging chair for the office so that students can utilize it in our stress free zone. This again, is an initiative that is currently beyond the scope of what the office can provide. By providing these extra services and future initiatives, our hopes are to reach more of the student body that we may not have had contact with otherwise.
